Music Built on Honest Ground

Glessner Records was founded on a simple belief: the best American music comes from real places, real people, and real stories. We exist to find that music and make sure the world can hear it.

We're not chasing radio charts or streaming algorithms. We're chasing the feeling you get when a singer cracks their voice on the right word, when a guitar bends into that note that hits your chest, when a song sounds like it came straight out of someone's dirt-road life.

We are lean, independent, and artist-first. Deeply committed to the roots of American music across country, americana, and southern rock.

Artist-First

Your voice, your vision. We partner with artists. We don't manufacture them.

Independent Spirit

No major label politics. Decisions made by people who love music, for the right reasons.

Long Game

We build careers, not one-hit moments. We're in it for the long road.

The Music We Champion

Three great American traditions, each distinct, all connected by honest storytelling and the unmistakable feeling of music born from somewhere real.

01

Country

Not the kind manufactured in a Nashville boardroom. We're talking raw, twang-heavy country rooted in Appalachian hollows and Texas backroads. Honky tonk soul, aching pedal steel, lyrics that tell the truth even when it hurts.

  • Traditional Country
  • Outlaw Country
  • Texas Country
  • Honky Tonk
03

Southern Rock

Where the Marshall stacks meet the fiddle. Southern rock carries the heat and grit of the American South: guitar-forward, band-driven, built to rattle the walls of small rooms and big stages alike.

  • Classic Southern Rock
  • Blues Rock
  • Swamp Rock
  • Jam-Influenced

We're Searching for
The Real Thing

We don't have a template. We have an ear for authenticity and a deep respect for artists who have something genuine to say and the talent to say it.

Songwriters with a Point of View

We want artists who write from life, with a perspective shaped by real experience and not a formula. Your lyrics should sound like they couldn't have been written by anyone else.

Performers Who Command a Room

Whether it's a 50-person honky tonk or a festival stage, we look for artists with undeniable live presence. The music should feel different when it's in the room with you.

Artists with Deep Roots

Know where your music comes from. We value artists who have absorbed the tradition: who've listened to the old stuff, understand the lineage, and bring something new out of it.

Committed Career Artists

We're not looking for a moment. We want artists building something lasting, who are in it for the long haul and understand that a career in music is forged one honest song at a time.

The Spirit We're After

Think: the raw storytelling of Tyler Childers. The mystical wandering of Sierra Ferrell. The bone-deep blues grit of Chris Stapleton. The band chemistry of Blackberry Smoke and the Red Clay Strays. The outlaw folk spirit of Charley Crockett. The authentic working-class voice of Oliver Anthony.

These artists didn't ask for permission to sound like themselves. That's exactly what we're looking for.

Where You Should Be Playing

  • Regional club and honky tonk circuits
  • Americana and roots music festivals
  • House concerts and listening rooms
  • Local and regional radio airplay
  • Building a genuine fanbase on the road

Submit Your Demo

We listen to every submission. If your music moves us, we'll reach out. Good music finds its moment.

Before You Submit

1

Include 3–5 original songs. Live recordings are fine. We care about the song, not the polish.

2

Tell us who you are, where you're from, and what drives your music. Skip the bio template and just talk to us.

3

Include links to any live footage you have. We want to see you in the room with an audience.

4

No covers-only submissions. We need to hear original material to consider representation.
